Zagreb is my home town, and after living abroad for seven years, I’m back in Zagreb since last summer. It’s much smaller than some other European capitals, like Paris, London or Rome. But, with just around 800,000 inhabitants, it’s small enough to be very liveable, and big enough to feel like a large city. Here is my Zagreb City Guide with some of my favourite places and tips for visiting Zagreb like a local.

It’s always a bit weird to look for a hotel in your home town (well, a home town in which you don’t live any more). You don’t really feel like a tourist, but don’t feel like a local any more either. However, I decided to took it as my advantage, use my knowledge as a local and each time I’m in Zagreb, stay in some of the city’s iconic hotels. Of course, by enjoying as a tourist!

Another year is behind us! Well, I am quite satisfied with this one, so I hope that 2017 will be even better. I started my own business, bought an apartment and met some nice people who become a dear friends.
