What are Culture Tourist Art Webinars?

Culture Tourist Art Webinars are around one-hour-long live online art lectures provided by an expert art historian (MA). You will learn about some famous artists, art movements and artworks during them. Although we will cover many topics, it will all be done in a relaxing and enjoyable way.

These art webinars are for you if:

  • You’ve missed a few classes of Art History in your high school and would love to fill the gaps now
  • You know nothing about Van Gogh or Rembrandt and would love to learn from scratch
  • You know some basics about these artists but would love to learn more about them
  • You are planning a trip to the Van Gogh Museum or Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam and would like to know something about these masters before your visit

In short, these art webinars are designed to cover the basics and give you a good overview of these artists’ work. They are filled with extensive visual material and numerous exciting anecdotes and stories from these artists’ lives and careers.

You can think of them as online museum tours led by a former Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum docent and tour guide.

Who is your lecturer?

Your lecturer is Tea Gudek Snajdar, an art historian (MA), museum educator, writer, blogger and occasional curator. And, most importantly, a former museum guide at the Van Gogh Museum and Rijksmuseum in Amsterdam. During the four years she organised private tours there, Tea explored their famous paintings in detail. She also researched locations linked to the life and work of Vincent van Gogh during the two-week-long trip from Amsterdam to the south of France. In a moment, she’s writing a book on that topic.

Tea writes texts about cultural tourism, travel, museums and art. And also works on diverse cultural tourism, art promotion and museum education projects within her company Culture Tourist.

During this art webinar, you’ll learn about his life and places in Europe where he lived and worked. We’ll also talk and see many of his paintings and drawings and learn about his life through them. During his career as an artist, Van Gogh wrote numerous letters to his brother Theo, often mentioning his paintings too. So, we’ll also learn about them through his own words.
